Cajid Media is interested in all things relating to media arts, most specifically those of the sonic variety. It is an Australian experimental music / sound art label who helps release and distribute not just sound (as it has to date), but video, dvd and web based works by Australian artists and musicians. It is always on the lookout for new interesting, innovating, experimental works and encourages anyone and everyone to make contact and/or submit work for consideration. It also finds itself frequently perplexed at the large number of boys' cds filling up the shelves of record stores, when it comes across many many women in the flesh making interesting sounds. For this reason it is also interested in gender-friendly curating in an attempt to provide a balance to this rather innane problem, and is also more than happy to enter into any debate relating to this particular topic.
